Hot Fuzz

Hot Fuzz has Nick and Danny as unlikely friends: Nick being an intelligent and stoic officer and Danny as a not to bright small town cop. They're completely opposite in character types, yet they come together to form an unlikely duo. Their dichotomy is what brings out the humor in this film; Danny introduces Nick to small town living, action films, and heavy drinking. Nick attempts to teach Danny how to be a proper officer with mixed results that end up both funny and endearing. These two become a pair, a set that you watch become friends through the film. The way they play off each other is what sells so much of the film.
